Love your work but it might interest you to know that in Hesiod’s original myths, Medusa was born a gorgon just as her sisters were, and the whole bit about being transformed into a monster by Athena after Poseidon’s rape was bs concocted by the Roman poet Ovid, likely because he had a severe bias against the Greeks worship of Athena and wanted to make her look bad.

It’s an excellent addition to be sure. I mostly prefer Hesiod’s version just because I‘m fond of Poseidon’s character, Ovid’s retelling mars his image a bit for me.
